This 8 module self-paced e-learning course is our clinical integration aspect of the “Demystifying Chronic Conditions” series in which interventions will be discussed individually in further detail to elevate your clinical practice, to enhance your patient care.
Part 2 is designed to update the participant on the latest information on intervention strategies for individuals suffering from persistent pain.
Course Objectives
The participants will be able to
- Discuss the latest evidence for pain neuroscience education.
- Discuss the role of pain neuroscience education and motivational interviewing for managing an individuals’ pain experience.
- Discuss the latest evidence of interventions for persistent conditions.
- Discuss the role of exercise, manual therapy, graded exposure, graded motor imagery and a multi-disciplinary approach on the manage of persistent pain.
- Design an evidence-informed intervention plan for an individual with persistent pain.
- Design a treatment plan for a patient with persistent pain with correct pain neurophysiological reasoning behind the treatment.
- Design a treatment plan that incorporates graded motor imagery and justify the clinical reasoning for those interventions.
